GARCIA, CITY MANAGEIK <br />SUBJECT: USE OF FLEMING PARK BY <br />NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: APRIL 23, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />As Council is aware, on May 9, 1998, the Neighborhood Services Department will be <br />conducting the Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration. The activities will take place at <br />Fleming Park, and will provide an opportunity for local sports league organizations to <br />conduct various fund-raisers. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The cost for this event will be approximately $5,000, which will cover the band, stage, <br />lights, etc. Funds are appropriated in account #100-6200-6202-2350. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the request of Neighborhood Services for use of <br />Fleming Park on May 9, 1998. <br />Item # 13 <br />
