CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For City Council Meeting of May 19, 1998 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Kouncil <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia City Manag <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource DirectorhN1 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of resolution appointing specific representatives to the <br />Independent Cities Risk Management Authority <br />DATE: May 6,1998 <br />BACKGROUND: Currently the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement allows Member Cities to <br />designate a Representative and two (2) alternate Representatives. The City Council of the City of <br />Colton had designated Betty Cook as the Representative and Gracie Fernandez Harmon as the <br />alternate Representative. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: ICRMA has mandated additional alternates to insure a "constant" <br />City of Colton vote on all board related matters. Appoint as the representative Betty Cook, Joanne <br />Knowles will serve as substitute Representative in Betty Cook's absence and Dennis Morris will <br />serve as substitute alternate Representative in the absent of the two aforementioned <br />Representatives. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council adopts the authorizing appointments of a <br />Representative, Substitute Representative, and a Substitute Alternate Representative to the <br />ICRMA Governing Board. <br />05/06/98 <br />agd ICRMA 051998 <br />
