CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of October 5, 1999 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manage <br />FROM: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Directory ` <br />Adrian Reynosa, Acting Recreation Services Manager#r <br />SUBJECT: Use Of Fleming Park & Band Shell By <br />Light House / Gods Holy Hand, Gospel Musical And BBQ <br />On Saturday, October 23, 1999 From 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br />DATE: September 28, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This organization offers counseling, emergency food, help for the elderly & teenagers <br />and offers a 24 hour prayer line to the Colton Community. They are using this family <br />event to tell people about their services and bring the community together. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Since the park is maintained by the Neighborhood Services Division, there will be <br />minimal impact on staff hours. The staff time to the General Fund Account No. 100- <br />6200-6202-1040, will come from the existing 1999/2000 budget. <br />CUSTOMER SERVICE IMPACT: <br />The tranquil setting of Fleming Park will provide a great atmosphere for this event. <br />Expected attendance is 150 adults, 75 children. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the request by Light House / Gods Holy Hand for the use <br />of Fleming Park & Band shell on Saturday, October 23, 1999 for a Gospel Musical and <br />BBQ Pending facility request and proof of insurance. <br />PREPARED BY: <br />Cecilia Hernandez, Neighborhood Services Coordinator <br />Attachment: Temporary Facility Request <br />Agenda/Agn Flem Pk 7-1-99 dm <br />Item #11 <br />
