HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTO <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RECRUITMENT AND RATIFICATION OF <br />EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE FULL-TIME POSITION OF <br />MAINTENANCE WORKER III IN THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DEPARTMENT, STREET DIVISION. <br />DATE: SEPTEMBER 27, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />One (1) Maintenance Worker III position is currently vacant. Attached is the job <br />description for the classification: salary range is $2195.00 - $2669.00 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />This position became vacant when the former worker accepted a similar position in <br />Neighborhood Services Parks Division. Recruitment for said position was conducted <br />and an eligibility list established. The candidate being referred for Council ratification <br />meets all the requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: This is an approved general fund position in the fiscal year 1999- <br />2000 budget funded as follows: Account No. 100-6150-6160-1010 (salary <br />miscellaneous) and Account No. 100-6150-6160-1100 (Salary related benefits) <br />J C.
