Item #11 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 20, 2001 <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: KATHY KIVLEY, ASSISTANT.E fel MANAGER/ACTING <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR T� <br />SUBJECT: FINAL APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANC OF PAR MAP 15714 FOR <br />RECORDATION — PACIFIC FRUIT EXPRESS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Parcel Map No. 15714 is a re -mapping of the Pacific Fruit Express property into a 4 -parcel <br />industrial subdivision. The project site is located north of "M" Street, between 10"' Street and Mt <br />Vernon Avenue. This is an approximate 30 -acre site with a 14 -acre remainder parcel, which is <br />currently under development by Union Pacific Railroad. <br />The project was reviewed and conditioned at the Design Review Committee on September 4, <br />2001. As part of this parcel map process, a portion of Mt. Vernon Street is being vacated north <br />of "M" Street. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The parcel map was reviewed for conformance with the Subdivision Map Act and local <br />ordinances. The Map hereby abandons a portion of the Mt Vernon Avenue, pursuant to Section <br />66499.20 % of the Subdivision Map Act, as shown within the boundary of Parcel Map 15714. A <br />copy of the parcel map is available at the November 20, 2001, City Council Meeting. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There are no financial impacts associated with this action by the City Council. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />The project is categorically exempt as per Section 15315 of CEQA Guidelines. <br />Staff recommends that the City Council act on the following: <br />1. Accept and approve the street vacation of that portion of Mt Vernon Avenue as noted on <br />Parcel Map 15714. <br />2.
