CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF October 2, 2001 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Ron Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />Item #8 <br />SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band Shell by the Parks and Recreation <br />Foundation For a Fundraiser on Saturday, October 20, 2001, 8:00 a.m. to <br />12:00 a.m. <br />DATE: September 24, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Parks and Recreation Foundation benefits individuals and groups in recreation and leisure time <br />pursuits. The planned "Western Gala" is a fundraiser for the Foundation. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The beautiful setting of Fleming Park will provide a great atmosphere for this function. Expected <br />attendance is 100 —150 adults. Admission will be charged and donations will be accepted. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Since the park is maintained by the Parks, Recreation and Family Services Department, there will <br />be a minimal impact on staff hours from General Fund Account No. 100-6200-6205-1050. <br />ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of the Parks and Recreation Foundation's fundraiser using both <br />Fleming Park & its Band shell on Saturday, October 20, 2001. <br />Attachment: Facility Reservation Form <br />TEW TEAM ONLY <br />Attorney <br />Manager. <br />Finance Director: <br />OTHER: <br />101 <br />
