CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF September 18, 2001 Item #14 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Ron Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services RK <br />SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band Shell by Calvary Chapel Colton, For <br />Religious Activities, Saturday, September 29,2001, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />DATE: September 10, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Amistad, a Christian Group based in San Bernardino, will be holding religious activities to include <br />music, the sharing of testimonies and distributing clothing to those in need. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The beautiful setting of Fleming Park will provide a great atmosphere for this function. Expected <br />attendance is estimated at (50) adults & (30) youth. Final approval of the park would include <br />verification of insurance by the permit holder. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Since the park is maintained by the Parks, Recreation and Family Services Department, there will <br />be a minimal impact on staff hours from General Fund Account No. 100-6200-6205-1050. <br />ENVIROMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of Amistad's use of Fleming Park & Band shell on Saturday <br />September 29, 2001. <br />Attachment: <br />Attorney: <br />Facility Reservation Form <br />Letter <br />Finance Director: <br />Manager: V ,V OTHER: <br />
