Delgado, Human Resources Manager 4 <br />SUBJECT: Approve Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment to the Full -Time <br />Position of Administrative Analyst II for Human Resources <br />DATE: July 22, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The position of Administrative Analyst for Human Resources was included in the budget for Fiscal Years 2002 <br />to 2003 and approved by City Council on June 18, 2002. There is current need for an Administrative Analyst <br />II for Human Resources, who will be required to bring a depth of knowledge and experience in the following <br />areas deferred compensation, EEOC reporting, employee development and employee labor relations. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Recruitment for said position will be conducted so that an eligibility list can be established and the candidate <br />selected will meet the education and experience requirements outlined in the job description. The <br />Administrative Analyst is an exempt, paraprofessional position, complemented by a salary range that currently <br />starts at $3,654 on the "A" step and ends at $4,441 for the `B" step. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Funding for this position is available in the Human Resources Division's budget as follows: Account No. 100- <br />6030-6030-1010 (salary) and Account No. 100-6030-6030-1100 (salary related benefits). <br />Staff respectfully recommends that the members of the City Council approve recruitment and grant <br />ratification of the employee appointment to the full-time position of Administrative Analyst II for Human <br />Resources. <br />m <br />Attorney: <br />Manager: <br />Finance Director: TJX <br />OTHER: - <br />
