Item #7 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 17, 2002 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER kD <br />SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE/NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR RICH <br />DAUER PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT — COGLEY AND SON <br />GENERAL CONTRACTOR <br />DATE: DECEMBER 5, 2002 <br />The Rich Dauer Park Improvement Project includes construction of concrete sidewalk/walkway and <br />thrash enclosure, installation of playground equipment, safety surfacing mat, picnic tables and <br />benches, and installation of handicap accessible restroom fixtures and drinking fountains. <br />The total contract amount of this project is $182,950.00, as approved by the City Council on <br />November 6, 2001. During the course of construction, Change Order 1 & 2 (total amount of <br />$24,624.08) were requested. These Change Orders were presented and approved by the City Council <br />on October 15, 2002 bringing the actual project cost to $207,574.08. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The contractor has completed the work as specified in the contract and satisfied all requirements. <br />The project commenced on February 11, 2002 and was completed on November 26, 2002. The <br />original contract date ended on September 16, 2002 but due to Change Orders and delay in the <br />delivery of equipments, time extension of up to November 27, 2002 was allowed. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />The project is Exempt from environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) Section 15301 (I) (demolition of small structures) and Section 15303 (new construction of <br />small structures). <br />
