Item #7 CITY OF COLTON AGENDA REPORT FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 17, 2002 TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER kD SUBJECT: FINAL ACCEPTANCE/NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR RICH DAUER PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT — COGLEY AND SON GENERAL CONTRACTOR DATE: DECEMBER 5, 2002 The Rich Dauer Park Improvement Project includes construction of concrete sidewalk/walkway and thrash enclosure, installation of playground equipment, safety surfacing mat, picnic tables and benches, and installation of handicap accessible restroom fixtures and drinking fountains. The total contract amount of this project is $182,950.00, as approved by the City Council on November 6, 2001. During the course of construction, Change Order 1 & 2 (total amount of $24,624.08) were requested. These Change Orders were presented and approved by the City Council on October 15, 2002 bringing the actual project cost to $207,574.08. ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: The contractor has completed the work as specified in the contract and satisfied all requirements. The project commenced on February 11, 2002 and was completed on November 26, 2002. The original contract date ended on September 16, 2002 but due to Change Orders and delay in the delivery of equipments, time extension of up to November 27, 2002 was allowed. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT The project is Exempt from environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Section 15301 (I) (demolition of small structures) and Section 15303 (new construction of small structures).
