Item #17 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF June 18, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council n r <br />i <br />FROM: Ron Kenny — Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Reservation Request for Fleming Park — Calvary Chapel Colton <br />DATE: June 4, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Calvary Chapel Colton has submitted a facility reservation request for the use of Fleming <br />Park on August 23, 2002. Their listed intention for use is to present a youth concert and a <br />bible study. A copy of their facility use application, as well as a supplemental letter from the <br />organization has been provided. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park presents a high-profile, centralized location to reach the community as a whole, <br />and the event has the potential to positively impact the community. The organization is based <br />in Colton, and the estimated attendance for this event is apprwdtnately 140 people, including <br />60 adults, 50 teens, and 30 children under 13 years of age.
