Item #19 <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />For the Redevelopment Agency Meeting of October 15, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Chairperson and Agency Boardmembers <br />FROM: Candace Cassel, Redevelopment Manager(, <br />SUBJECT: Consideration and Approval of a Professional Services Agreement with the <br />National Development Council for Real Estate and Advisory and Financing <br />Services. <br />DATE: October 7. 2002 <br />B a c k e ro a n d /D i s c u s s i o n <br />The Agency originally engaged the National Development Council (NDC) on July 1, 1997. The NDC is <br />a non-profit consultant to developers and cities on community development issues. They provide real <br />estate analysis and financial consultant services to the Agency. The Redevelopment Agency continues to <br />require NDC's consultant services for the many projects that the Agency is working on, and as such, will <br />need to update the professional services agreement. (See attached). <br />Some of the issues NDC has assisted the Agency with include: assisting in obtaining working capital for <br />Moss Bros Ford, financing for the Big League Dreams Sports Park and financing for the McNeilus Truck <br />expansion project. In addition, NDC has worked with the Agency on evaluating financing alternatives for <br />Rancho Mediterrania and Colton Palms.
