Item #16 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF July 15.2003 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Zi <br />FROM: Ron Kenny — Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Reservation Request for Fleming Park — Inland Empire <br />Solidarity to Overcome Prejudice <br />DATE: July 2, 2003 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Inland Empire Solidarity to Overcome Prejudice has submitted a facility reservation <br />request for the use of Fleming Park on Saturday, September 6, 2003. Their listed intention <br />for use is to present a festival of arts to promote community peace. The group contact <br />person is Randall Lopez. A copy of their facility use application has been provided, as well <br />as a supplemental letter from Mr. Lopez, describing the event in more detail. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Fleming Park presents a high-profile, centralized location to reach the community as a <br />whole, and the event has the potential to positively impact the community.
