Item #7 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF AUGUST 3, 2004 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Tom Hendrix, Fire Chief <br />SUBJECT: Set for Public Hearing, for the meeting of August 17, 2004, a <br />Resolution pertaining to weed abatement and the placement of <br />parcels on the County Property Assessment Tax Rolls <br />DATE: July 26, 2004 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City's Spring Weed Abatement Program is nearing completion. Approximately 136 parcels <br />were abated during the Spring Program and approximately 65 were abated during the Fall 2003 <br />Program. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Prior to placement on the County Tax Rolls, a Public Hearing is required to consider the Report <br />of Costs and to hear any objections from property owners liable to be assessed for the <br />abatement. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the setting of the Public Hearing for the meeting of August 17, 2004, a <br />Resolution to adopt a Report of Costs and placing those costs on the County Tax Rolls for <br />payment. <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: a- Finance Director: <br />City Manager: OTHER: <br />
