CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF November 16, 2004
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Bill Smith — Community Services Director
SUBJECT: Request for Increased Appropriation of Funds for Luque
Center Programs
DATE: November 3, 2004
Item #8
BACKGROUND:
The Community Services Department has been very fortunate to receive two separate donations to
the youth programs at Luque Community Center. These donations total $7,800, and will be used to
purchase equipment and supplies, as well as expand programming at the Center.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
These donations were not anticipated, nor budgeted, for the current fiscal year. Because this money
was not budgeted, it is necessary to adjust the Community Services Department budget, to reflect
the additional revenue, as well as the allocation for expenditure.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no net financial impact to the City for this allocation. Revenue account number 100-6745
would be increased by $7,800, and expenditure account 100-6200-6213-2301 would likewise be
increased by the corresponding amount, $7,800.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None
CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
None
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the above-mentioned accounts be increased in order to accommodate
expansion of Community Services Department programs at the Luque Community Center.
REVIEW
City Attorney:
City Manager:
Finance Director:
OTHER:
