Item #13
CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 5, 2004
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., CITY ENGINEER 9
SUBJECT: FINAL APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE REVISED
PARCEL MAP 16806 FOR RECORDATION
DATE: SEPTEMBER 27, 2004
BACKGROUND:
The City of Colton City Council approved Parcel Map No. 16806 on the August 17, 2004 City
Council Meeting. The map as approved showed a right of way dedication of 60 feet along Agua
Mansa Road for an ultimate street width of 120'. Engineering Department has revised the Parcel
Map to reflect the change of right-of-way of Agua Mansa Road from 120' feet to 96' feet, with
corresponding half widths of 60' and 48' respectively.
ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION:
The City's General Plan includes a road cross section of a 96' road that provides a median, 2lanes
in each direction and a parking lane, therefore the additional right of way is not necessary for road
purposes.
The Parcel Map has been reviewed for conformance with the Subdivision Map Act and local
ordinances. All applied conditions have been addressed by the applicant.
(See attached reduction map of revised Parcel Map 16806.)
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Not Applicable
CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Not Applicable
FINANCIAL/FISCAL IMPACT:
The land being subdivided with this Parcel Map is owned by the City's Electric Utility, and since
these properties will have a larger usable area, there is a potential positive impact if the properties
are sold.
