UPGRADE TO EXISTING WELL PUMPING <br />PLANT No. 24 AND BOOSTER STATION AT WELL NOS. 15 AND 17 <br />PERCHLORATE TREATMENT PLANT. <br />DATE: December 20, 2005 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On May 18, 2004 the City Council awarded a contract to Bakersfield Well & Pump Co. in an amount not to <br />exceed $329,449.00 to upgrade the existing well pumping plant No. 24 and install a booster station at the <br />Well 15 and 17 Perchlorate Treatment Plant. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The Contractor has completed the project and satisfied all the requirements of contract terms and <br />agreements for this project as specified in the contract. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Sufficient funds are available in Capital Improvement Account, Number 521-8100-8105-3890 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST — Gift Disclosure Requirements <br />Exact Business Name: Bakersfield Well & Pump Company <br />President or Equal: Dennis McKindley, Vice President <br />Contact:: Same <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />• Staff respectfully recommends Final Acceptance of the Upgrade to Existing Well Pumping Plant No. <br />24 and installation of Booster Station at Well Nos. 15 and 17 Perchlorate Treatment Plant, and <br />requests that the City Council authorize filing a Notice of Completion for this project. <br />• Staff recommends that Council approve the execution and recordation of this document. <br />Attachment: Notice of Completion <br />Prepared by: Susan Tedesco, Administrative Assistant <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: -- ti Finance Director: <br />City Manager: OTHER: <br />
