CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 19, 2005 <br />ATO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Tom Hendrix, Fire Chief <br />ITEM #10 <br />SUBJECT: Set for Public Hearing, for the meeting of August 2, 2005, a <br />Resolution pertaining to weed abatement and the placement <br />of parcels on the County Property Assessment Tax Rolls <br />DATE: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />July 11, 2005 <br />The City's Spring Weed Abatement Program is nearing completion. Approximately 130 parcels <br />were abated during the Spring Program and approximately 85 were abated during the Fall 2003 <br />Program. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Prior to placement on the County Tax Rolls, a Public Hearing is required to consider the Report <br />of Costs and to hear any objections from property owners liable to be assessed for the <br />abatement. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the setting of the Public Hearing for the meeting of August 2, 2005, a <br />Resolution to adopt a Report of Costs and placing those costs on the County Tax Rolls for <br />payment thereof. <br />Prepared by: Alan SorK, Tire marsnai <br />REVIEW TEAMLY <br />City Attorney: <br />City Man <br />Finance Director: �. <br />OTHER: <br />
