Item #5 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF May 3, 2005 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />FROM: Bill Smith — Community Services Director, <br />SUBJECT: Request approval for facility use of Fleming Park and its bandshell on <br />Friday, June 10, 2005, for use by the Community Services Department <br />to host the annual Movie -in -the -Park event. <br />DATE: April 20, 2005 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Community Services Department is requesting the use of Fleming Park to host a City "Movie - <br />in -the -Park' Event on Friday, June 10, 2005. A copy of the facility reservation application has <br />been included. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Set up for the event will begin at 5:00 p.m., and the event will commence at dusk. The movie will <br />conclude at approximately 10:30 p.m., with clean-up to continue until 11:00 p.m. We hosted a <br />similar event at Fleming Park in 2004, to rave reviews from the community. Expected attendance <br />for this event is estimated at approximately 400 people, including adults and children. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Event is budgeted from the general fund, account 100-6200-6214-2301.
