CITY OF COLTON <br />COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 6, 2005 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, a Special Meeting was held on the above <br />given date at 4:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, with Mayor Tempore Hernandez <br />presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Ramos, Chastain and Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Hernandez. <br />Mayor Bennett and Councilmember De La Rosa absent. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />None <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />• Proclamation Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez read a proclamation in honor of Victims <br />of Indian Ocean, Earthquake and Tsunami, Week of Remembrance and <br />Mourning January 3 — 7, 2005. <br />There was no opposition by the Councilmembers present to the request by Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Hernandez to nominate a chairperson to takeover and conduct the meeting at 5:15 p.m. when <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Hernandez would have to leave to give a eulogy at funeral services. <br />Motion and second by CM Ramos/Suchil to delegate CM Chastain as chairperson. <br />Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying and or taking action on the following <br />matters: <br />City Attorney Derleth announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss <br />the following items: <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) <br />Name of Case: Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton V.
