ANNEXATION OF SOUTH COLTON <br />NOO 7 TO THE CITY OF COLTON" <br />W.HFAMAS.,, on the 13th day of October, 1959 a petition was filed with <br />the City Council of the .City of Colton requesting that . certain uninhabited <br />territory contiguous to said City be -annexed to the City of Colton and which <br />said petition described said territory and the boundaries thereof proposed to <br />be annexed to said City and <br />WHEREAS said petition was filed by .owners of all the area of land <br />in such territory and representing all of the assessed value- of said ter ritory <br />according to the last preceding equalized as ses.sment roll of the County of <br />San Bernardino, in which said County the City of Colton is situated# and <br />WHEREAS,, the said petition requested the said territory to be annexed <br />1 to and included in said Municipal Corporation in acco rda,nc a with the p rovis.- <br />ions of: the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Article 5, <br />Chapter 1, Part 2,, Division 2t Title 4,,, Government Code of the State of Cali- <br />fornia (Section 35300 et seq) and <br />W HEREAS.,.the : City- C mn it=: did on the 13th day of October =, 1959 adopt <br />a .Resolution proposing the annexation of the aforesaid uninhabited te.rr itory to <br />be generally known. as _South Colton Annexation No, 7 to the City of Col ton, and <br />VIHERFAS, said Resolution. dial fix, determine and declare that a hear- <br />ing would be held on the 1st day of December, 1959 at th a hour of 7:30 p. m. in <br />the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Colton (whicit is located <br />ou "I" Street, between Oth and 9th' Streets in said City) and the same was the <br />days, hour and place .designated where any person within such territory so pro- <br />posed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation <br />might object before the City Council and show cause why such territory so pro» <br />posed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation might <br />object before the City Council and show cause why su ch territory should not <br />be annexed to the City of Colton, <br />
