ORDINANCE NO, 1153 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION 3 OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DISIGNATED "SOUTH COLTON ANNEXATION 4 NO, 10" TO THE CITY OF COLTON. l 5 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: 6 WHEREAS, on the 19th day of March, 1963, the Council of the City of I 71 Colton did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2349 giving notice of the proposal to 8 annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Colton, said territory being 9 therein designated as "South Colton Annexation No. LO" said Resolution de - 10 scribing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and 11 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2349 did contain a notice of the day, 12 hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests 13 made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be 14 annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than 15 sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and 16 WHEREAS, on the 7th day of May, 1963 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the 17 Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North Eighth Street in 18 the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, said time 19 and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 2349 for 20 hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass 21 upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that pro - 22 tests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately 23 owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess - 24 ment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned 25 territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and 26 WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton, and is 27 uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 28 NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Colton hereby approv 29 the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Colton and 30 does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to 31 the City of Colton. 32
