That the amount necessary to be raised by <br />taxation upon taxable property in the City of Colton as a revenue <br />to carry on the various departments of.the City of Colton for the <br />current year 1966-1967 and to pay the bonded indebtedness of said <br />City and the expense of, collection, is $349,690.00. <br />SECTION 2. This Ordinance.is for the immediate preserva- <br />tion of the public peace, health and safety and shall take effect <br />immediately upon its adoption and publication. The facts constitut <br />ing the urgency thereof are as follows: <br />This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the general laws of <br />the State of California for levying municipal taxes to provide for <br />the maintenance of the various governmental functions of the City <br />ofColton including police protection, fire protection, health <br />regulations and other functions which preserve the public health <br />and safety in the City of Colton. <br />PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 29th day of August <br />• <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City --Cl rk <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed <br />adjourned <br />by the City Council of the City of Colton at a regular meeting held <br />
