That Section 1 of Resolution No. 3230 is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />That pursuant to the requirements of Section 23302 of the <br />Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino be <br />and it hereby is requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of a <br />special municipal election with the statewide general election on Tuesday, <br />the 2nd day of November, 1976, for the purpose of submitting to the electors <br />of the City of Colton a proposition to appear on the ballot as follows: <br />Shall the Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1421, <br />effective dune 0, 1,977, providing that the City' <br />of Colton's Employees Retirement Plan, originally <br />adopted in 1945,.bexnodified effective June'"30, <br />YES <br />1977, to provide improved retirement benefits to <br />Colton Police and Fire Safety Employees, herein <br />referred to as Local Safety Members, on the basis <br />of discretionary retirement at,age 50, with the <br />local safety member receiving a retirement of Two <br />Percent (2%) of their final compensation for each <br />year of service (not to exceed Seventy-five Per- <br />cent (75%) of final compensation) with compulsory <br />NO <br />retirement at age 60 (see California Government <br />Code Section 21252.01); and the levy of only such <br />property taxes as will be necessary to pay the <br />City's share of said benefits, be adopted? <br />SECTION 2.
