RESOLUTION NO. 4296 <br />1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />2 COLTON TO SIGN AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO <br />THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />3 AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN ORDER THAT THE <br />CITY OF COLTON BE CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING OF <br />4 A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $600,000 FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF CREATING A HOUSING REHABILITATION <br />5 PROGRAM. <br />6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has been notified that <br />7 it may be eligible to receive a $600,000 grant from the State Department <br />8 of Community Development; and, <br />9 WHEREAS, the City Council has caused Citizen Participation Meetings <br />10 to be held; and, <br />11 WHEREAS, the City Council has held a Public Hearing to receive further <br />3-2 input from the community; and, <br />13 WHEREAS, the comments from the community have been in favor of creating <br />14 a Housing Rehabilitation Program; and, <br />15 I WHEREAS, the City Council agrees with the needs established by two <br />3.6 surveys conducted by staff indicating a need to provide safe, decent and <br />17 sanitary housing; and <br />18 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to submit an application to said <br />19 state agency for the purpose of creating a Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />20 with Community Development funds in the amount of $600,000, <br />21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />212 <br />! Colton authorizes the ""ayor of the City of Colton to sign and submit all <br />i <br />23 appropriate documents in order to apply for said grant from the State of <br />24 California Department of Community Development. <br />25 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 11th day of March, 1963. <br />26 <br />27 <br />ALBERT A.
