I RESOLUTION NO. R-112-03 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE MURRAY- 3 HAYDEN PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT OF 4 2002 FOR THE COLTON REGIONAL PARK SOCCER FIELD COMPLEX. 5 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the CALIFORNIA 6 CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS AND COASTAL 7 PROTECTION ACT of 2002 which provides funds to the State of California for grants to 8 eligible applicants; and 9 to WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated 11 the responsibility for the administration of the Murray -Hayden Urban Parks and Youth Service 12 Program and the grant Project shown above within the State, setting up necessary 13 procedures; and 14 WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and 15 Recreation require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of the 16 Application before submission of said Application to the State; and 17 WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a Contract with the State of California for the 18 Project. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton 20 hereby: 21 1. Approves the filing of an Application for local assistance funds from the Murray - Hayden program under the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe neighborhood 22 Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002; and 23 2. Certifies that the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and 24 maintain the Project(s); and 25 3. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide; and 26 4. Certifies that the Grantee has or will have available, prior to commencement of 27 any work on the Project, the required Match; and 28 5. Certifies that the Project conforms to the recreation element of any applicable city or county general plan; and 1
