R-141-04 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING A SALARY INCREASE FOR THE <br />4 RECREATION SPECIALIST POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY <br />5 SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />6 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has determined that the City's current <br />rate of compensation for the position of Recreation Specialist in the <br />7 Community Services Department is lower than the prevailing rates paid by <br />s <br />other cities for the same position; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to competitively <br />compensate employees in order to ensure the stability of City programs and <br />10 services; and <br />11 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the compensation range <br />12 for the position of Recreation Specialist by establishing a new salary range <br />which is competitive with prevailing rates paid by other cities. <br />13 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />14 THE CITY OF COLTON: <br />15 SECTION 1.
