R-31-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACCEPTING AN <br />ADDITIONAL $7,791 IN "ADULT LITERACY FUNDS" AND TO AMEND THE ADOPTED <br />BUDGET FOR A TOTAL FY 2003/2004 APPROPRIATION OF $21,941 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to building a more <br />literate community; and <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library approved an additional $7,791 in "Adult <br />Literacy Funds"; and <br />WHEREAS, a continuing need exists to augment the current literacy program, which <br />involves volunteer tutors and adult learners in activities that promote parents and their <br />children reading together. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />accept an additional $7,791 in "Adult Literacy Funds" amending the adopted budget for a <br />total FY 2003/2004 appropriation of $21,941 as follows: <br />Library Grant Revenue - "Adult Literacy Grant" 211-5753 $7,791 <br />Library Grant Expenditures - "Adult Literacy Grant": <br />211-7100-7102-2301 Operating Supplies $2,791 <br />211-7100-7102-4900 Office Equipment $5,000 <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 6t" day of April, 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />T/ <br />'CAROLINA P.
