R-05-06 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING FROM THE HOME DEPOT — <br />KABOOM COMMUNITY -BUILT PLAYSPACE CHALLENGE GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Home Depot and "KaBOOM" have joined forces to offer <br />playspace grants for the construction and/or rehabilitation of playgrounds in North <br />America, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Home Depot and "KaBOOM" has established criteria for the <br />administration of the Grant Program, setting up necessary procedures, and; <br />WHEREAS, these procedures request the Grant Applicant to certify the <br />approval of an application before submission of the application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1 — City Council approves the filing of a Home Depot — "KaBOOM" <br />Grant Application for the Veteran's Park Tot Lot Project, and; <br />SECTION 2 — City Council certifies that the City has or will have sufficient <br />funds to complete, operate and maintain the Project, and; <br />SECTION 3 — City Council certifies that the City has reviewed, understands <br />and agrees to the General Provisions of the Grant Agreement, and; <br />SECTION 4 — City Council appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all <br />negotiations, and execute all documents which may be necessary for the completion <br />of the Project. <br />PASSED, APPROVED MID ADOPTED THIS 17th DAY OF JANUARY, 2006. <br />DEIRDRE H.
