R-64-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-40-96 AS IT <br />PERTAINS TO THE ALLOCATION OF FIREWORKS LICENSES FOR <br />YOUTH GROUPS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton approved Resolution R-40-96 on April 16, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution R-40-96 establishes an approved list of organizations entitled <br />to be issued a license to operate a fireworks booth and to sell fireworks within the City of <br />Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, this Resolution shall remain in effect until further action by resolution of <br />the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the majority of the approved organizations met on <br />March 2, 2006 to discuss adding an additional booth to be shared by the Colton Fire <br />Explorers and the Colton Police Explorers; and <br />WHEREAS, a majority vote was taken and the additional booth to be shared by the <br />Colton Fire Explorers and Colton Police Explorers was agreed upon; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 0-09-06 amending Chapter 6.32 of the Colton <br />Municipal Code as it relates to the number of fireworks licenses allocated by category was <br />adopted by the City Council on April 4, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, with the adoption of Ordinance 0-09-06, Youth Groups and school <br />sponsored youth groups are allocated one additional license. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton, <br />California that Section 3 of Resolution No. R-40-96 is amended by adding: <br />1 <br />
