CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of June 7, 1988 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: John C Hutton,Director of Public 'Abrks <br />SUBJECT: Award of Street Ingprovenent Contract, City <br />Project #PM8-6 <br />Date June 2, 1988 <br />On May 24, 1988 staff received and opened three bids for the City's Street Improvement <br />Contract (asphalt overlay projects), and for services and materials for routine <br />maintenance. <br />Staff prepared the bids to allow for the following: 1) a specific number of streets to <br />be, paved, and 2) an inplace contract for paving projects on an as -needed basis during <br />the year. This allows for =re flexibility when special projects arise during the <br />year for street paving, that would not be -a part of the specific contract. Attached <br />are the, bid analysis for street improvements and for services and materials for routine <br />maintenance. <br />REC3&EM]ATItN:. _. <br />Staff recommend that Council approve the following actions: <br />1. The selection of Fontana Paving for the nine street <br />improvements as shown on Exhibit "C" in the contract <br />amount of $299,000. <br />2.
