AGUILERA, Director/ <br />Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL AND EXECUTION OF DELEGATE <br />AGENCY AGREEMENT FOR 1988 - 1991 <br />Date May 10, 1988 <br />Cooperating Cities Agreement for CDBG Grant Funds with San Bernardi <br />County Department of Economic and Community Development <br />BACKGROUND <br />j <br />On November 2, 1987, the City entered into a Cooperation Agreement <br />with the San Bernardino County Department of Economic and <br />Community Development for joint participation in the Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for 1988-91. <br />The agreement stipulates the County's authority to carry out CDBG <br />activities in' Colton and the County's responsibility for administering <br />the program in accordance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) <br />regulations. <br />The City's Cooperating Agreement requires that a, City -County <br />Delegate Agency Agreement be executed which specifies procedures <br />and responsibilities to be used by the City and County for CDBG <br />activities. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council execute the attached four <br />(4) City -County Delegate Agency Agreements in accordance with the <br />existing Cooperating Cities Agreement. <br />CITY MANAGER CONCURRENCE <br />Attachments: <br />City -County Delegate Agency Agreements (4) <br />Page 1 of --!— <br />Item No. <br />
