Drews, Electric Utility Director <br />EXECUTION OF POKIER SALES AGREEMENT BETWEEN Date: 10 26/38 <br />THE- CITIES OF AZUSA., BANNING, COLTON AND THE CITY OF PASADENA <br />AND FUTURE SIMILAR AGREEMENTS <br />In the coming months the City will be executing agreements <br />with other utilities to provide power to the City. The <br />agreement submitted for approval herein is similar to those <br />future agreements. A copy of the Power Sales Agreement Between <br />The Cities of .Azusa, Banning, Colton and The City of Pasadena <br />is on.file in the City Clerk's office for your review. <br />In most instances, deadlines for obtaining required signatures <br />on contracts have to be met on a very tight schedule, which <br />necessitates this recommendation for approval for the Electric <br />Utility Director to sign the agreements. <br />Before signing, the Electric Utility Director would secure <br />Approval As To Form from the Utility's Attorney -on the agree- <br />ments (which will also include transmission and Special <br />Condition 12 related agreements) and. review by the City Manager <br />to assure the contracts are in the best interest of the <br />City. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends Council approval for the Electric Director <br />to sign: (1) Power Sales Agreement Between the Cities of <br />Azusa, Banning, Colton and Pasadena, and (2) future power, <br />transmission, and Special Condition 12 related contracts <br />with other utilities. <br />Concur <br />F 1 Benest <br />City Manager <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of--!-- <br />Item <br />f 1 <br />7 <br />Item No.. <br />
