Keane, City Manager'':'+ <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Westside Park Landscaping Date: November 15, 1989 <br />to Allied Spr:_nkler Co., Inc. in the Amount <br />of $228,025.80. <br />On October 5 and 12, 1989, we advertised for quotations for a <br />contract to landscape the Westside°Park. Bid opening was held <br />at 2:00 P.M., November 9 1989 in the City Council Chambers_ <br />We received nine good bids for consideration on this project <br />The Proposalconsisted of a base bid for the bulk of the effort <br />.and three alternative bids. Alternate 1A, Provide All Trees & <br />Planting, will not be done by contract. Alternate 2A, Construct <br />3652 square feet of sidewalk is added to the contract. Alternate <br />3A, Provide Water Truck Operation for wind erosion is added to <br />the contract at $75.00/Hr. with a Not To Exceed of $3,000.00. <br />A Bid Analysis is,at:,tached showing the nine bid prices with the <br />totals of contract to'be awarded. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that bid award be made to <br />Allied Sprinkler Co., Inc; in the amount of $228,025.80. <br />Report prepared by K.
