Bid opening was held at 3:.00P.M., August 7, .1989°, in the General Services office. Four Bids were received and evalu- ated. A Bid Analysis is attached showing prices and delivery quoted by each vendor. The recommended vendor's price is underlined for each trans- former. The total price for those transformers only is listed at the bottom. Also attached, is a Transformer Load Loss Evaluation, which was done. on the computer. This evaluation shows the true cost of the transfor- mer over it's lifetime, using a combination of load calculations sup- plied by the transformer manufacturer and unit prices quoted by the vendor. The results of this evaluation determine the recommended vendor. The lowest evaluated cost for each transformer is underlined. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends bid award on the pole mount transformers to Cooper Power Systems in the.amount of $11,089.72 and on the pad mount transformers to WESCO Utility in the amount of $29,016.44.
