CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of Tanuarrl6 , 12.20 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie Keane, City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Convert One Firefighter Position Date: 1-11-90 <br />to Firefighter Specialist <br />In the past few months City staff has been evaluating the need for <br />additional Firefighter Specialists/Paramedics in the Fire Department. <br />With the opening of the new fire station and the paramedic -engine <br />concept, whereby paramedics ride on an engine and are available to <br />also fight fires, City staff feels that it is possible to convert <br />an existing firefighter position to a paramedic position. <br />Recommendation <br />It is staff's recommendation that Council convert one Firefighter <br />position to a Firefighter Specialist position. <br />Report prepared by Sandra Knight, Human Resource Manager <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of <br />Item No.� <br />CENTRAL RECORDS <br />1=11_E NO.�_�:.�.............. .
