CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of 20 February 1990 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Jaime R. Aguilera, Director of Community Development?;(� <br />SUBJECT: Priority List of the 1990-91 CDGB Projects Date: Feb. 15,1990 <br />Per Cooperating Cities Agreement with San Bernardino County <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the City Council meeting of 6 February 1990) Council <br />set the Public Hearing for the prioritization of CDBG <br />project proposal to this meeting. Colton has been <br />allocated $170,000 in CDBG funds from the San Bernardino <br />County Dept. of Economic and Community Development (ECD) <br />per Colton's Cooperating Cities Agreement with the County. <br />Of the total amount, 10% of the allocation, $17,000, must <br />be withheld for contingencies, leaving $153,000 for the <br />City to budget for the 1990-91 fiscal year. <br />The attached list of projects have been preapproved by the <br />County ECD as eligible for CDBG funding. Taking the <br />allocation constraint into consideration and reviewing the <br />proposed projects, Staff recommends the following projects <br />and CDBG allocation: <br />1. <br />$62,000 <br />for <br />Urban Beautification capital <br />improvements <br />for South La Cadena Drive Corridor. <br />2. <br />$43,500 <br />for <br />Graffiti Eradication Program. <br />3. <br />$20,000 <br />for <br />Senior Outreach Program. <br />4. <br />$27,500 <br />for <br />Youth Intervention Program. <br />5. <br />$17,000 <br />for <br />Contingency Fund (10% of total <br />allocation must <br />be withheld for contingencies). <br />TOTAL ALLOCATION: $170,000 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />If Council concurs with Staff's recommendation, a motion <br />to adopt the priority list of projects and CDBG <br />allocations is in order. <br />CITY MANAGER CONCURRENCE <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of ORIGINAL Item No. 7 <br />CENTRAL RECORDS <br />FILE NO. � f-\'--1== =' ............. �r' � <br />
