Aguilera, Community Development Directo <br />SUBJECT: Consider Amendment of Ordinance No. 0-2-90 in Order Date: July 9, 1990 <br />to Increase Grading Plan Check Fees to Offset Cost <br />f=ul ft- r�7i� 6 1h, I� <br />The City Council adopted the fees established in the Uniform Building Code <br />for grading plan check when the Council adopted Ordinance 0-2-90. <br />STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: <br />Staff has ccme to the conclusion, after a fee/cost study that the fee we <br />currently charge is insufficient to pay the cost of plan checking. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />If we do not increase the fees to developers, then all of Colton's <br />residents will be subsidizing the developer's projects by paying for his <br />fees through the general fund. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />If the fee is not increased we will continue to spend general fund monies <br />to support the grading plan check process. <br />ENVIRON ENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECCNMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Council approve first reading and waive full reading <br />of the attached City Council Ord' ance. <br />City Manager's Concurrence <br />Attachments: <br />ORIGINAL <br />Page 1 of. —. — GEN r�.` L RECORDS Item No. �' <br />
