SOTELO, City Manage <br />r/ Date: June 12, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Award of Bid for Annual Chemical Contract <br />to All Pure Chemical for the Period July 1, 1990 <br />through June 30 1991 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City solicits competitive bids for Various Chemicals used <br />by the Water Utility and Human Services (pool maintenance) on <br />an as needed basis. <br />On May 14, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids <br />for this requirement. Bid opening was held at 3:30 P.M., <br />May 30, 1990, in the General Services Office. Three bids were <br />received and only one vendor bid on all estimated requirements. <br />STATEMENT OF THE -PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVE <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached showing price and delivery on <br />estimated quantities. The quantities are estimated from history <br />of past usage. The recommended vendor's estimate of $$9,820.91 <br />is underlined. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends award of Bid for an annual chemical contract <br />to All Pure Chemical for the period July 1, 1990 through <br />June 30, 1991. <br />Report Prepared By: Mary J.
