Electrical Date: June 12, 1990 <br />Material to General Electric Supply Co. and Electrical <br />Supply Distributing Co. for the period 7/1/90 through 6/30/91 <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 14, 1990, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />annual contracts on miscellaneous electrical material requirements <br />as generated by various City departments. <br />Bid opening was held at 2:30 P.M., May 29, 1990, in the General <br />Services Office. Four bids were received and evaluated. <br />It should be noted that both recommended vendors have local <br />outlets for these materials, and the majority of items purchased <br />will be on a "will call" basis. <br />STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM <br />None <br />ALTERNATIVE <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />A Bid Analysis is attached which reflects a percentage off Trade <br />Service Book end column pricing, which is a standard pricing <br />practice used in this industry. The analysis further reflects <br />delivery and discount terms.
