SOTELO, CITY MANAG <br />SUBJECT: ADOPT NEW JOB DESCRIPTION FOR POLICE CHIEF Date: 11-13-90 <br />BACKGROUND: The current job description for the position of <br />Police Chief was written in 1971. A new job description is needed <br />to update the education, training and experience requirements, and <br />to proceed with the recruitment for a new Police Chief. <br />STATEMENT QF THE PROBLEM: Police Chief Paul Connolly is retiring <br />at the end of December, 1990, and before recruitment for a new <br />Police Chief can begin, a new job description is required.
