- CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
For Council Meeting of October 16, 1990
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Gale A. Drews, Electric Utility Director
SUBJECT: Revocable License Agreement
City of Riverside (Gage Canal)
BACKGROUND:
Date: October 5, 1990
The Department has an overhead line crossing at Barton Road to serve
the Reche Canyon area. The Department has been converting the over-
head line to underground along Barton Road at Cooley Plaza.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
To incorporate the conversion of the overhead line across Barton Road
to underground and go along Reche Canyon, the Department has to have
an easement on City of Riverside right-of-way. This property is on
the south side of Barton Road right across from the Cooley Plaza
project.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Department can wait for the development of the Reche Canyon
channel. This will allow us to cross the Reche Canyon channel
first and then we will have to cross Barton Road. But at this
point, the Department does not have a plan for the development,
of Reche Canyon channel and going through this route may not be
cost-effective.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends council approve authorization for Mayor to execute
the agreement.
Attachments:
Page 1 of l._ City Manager's Concurrence Item No.
