Hutton, Director of Public Works <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Emergency Resolution to Repair Date: October 28, 1991 <br />Well #14 in the Amount of $24,926 <br />• k a Vfl . 111 <br />Well #14 is located in the Walnut area with Well #7 and #5. Well #7 is the only <br />well currently in full operation. Pumping at Well #5 has dropped from 1,000 GPM <br />to 500 GPM.. Well #14 has a hole in the casing and cannot be used until the casing <br />is repaired due to State Health regulations. <br />IST qC'1 1-1; 1; T()N <br />With both wells not producing we cannot supply adequate water to the West End of <br />the City and we are in inTnediate danger of having inadequate drinking and fire water <br />flow. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Repairs to water infrastructure will be included in the Water Utility budget, which <br />will be presented to the Council in late November. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff reconTnends that Council approve the attached Resolution declaring an emergency <br />for Well #14 and authorizing repairs in the amount of $24,926 to Tri County. <br />/lj <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page i of <br />CENTRAL REGOROS <br />FILE N0 . .................. <br />Item No. <br />
