0 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of October 1, 1991 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Leslie Keane Stratton, City Manager � <br />SUBJECT: ` Date : 9/24/91 <br />(Westside) Valley Park Fencing Bid Award <br />BACRGROUND• <br />In November 1990 a safety report was received from Western Consulting <br />Services by Mr. John Taylor, for the (Westside) Valley Park site, <br />recommending that safety fencing be installed along San Bernardino Avenue <br />and the remaining perimeter of the park site. This perimeter fencing is <br />necessary to prevent unauthorized access into the park area from the <br />steep slope facing along San Bernardino Avenue and the remaining <br />perimeter of the park site when the retention/detention basin is full of <br />water. <br />DISCUSSION• <br />On September 19 and 26, 1991, the General Services Manager advertised for <br />sealed bids for the Valley Park site. Bid opening was held on <br />September 30, 1991, at 2:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers. A report <br />will be provided at the Council meeting. <br />FISCAL IMPACT• <br />Funds are available in CFD 87-1 for this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the bid be awarded to the lowest, qualified bidder <br />as received on September 30, 1991. <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of_. <br />Item No.� <br />
