Acevedo, Finance Direct <br />Date: June 4, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Asphalt Concrete Material <br />to Boral Resources, Incorporated in the <br />Amount of $143,813.25 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Colton periodically advertises for formal bids for the <br />supply of Asphalt Concrete Material of various mixes for use by the <br />Streets Division. This year's bid is for a one year contract with <br />an option to extend the contract for one year. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 14, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed bids for the <br />above requirements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 P.M., June 1, 1992 <br />in the General Services office. Three bids were received on this <br />requirement. A Bid Analysis is attached showing the estimated <br />quantities and the unit prices which make up the total price of the <br />contract for the first year. The recommended bidder's total price <br />is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for the above asphalt concrete material <br />contract to Boral Resources, Inc. in the amount of $143,813.25. <br />Report prepared by: Kenneth L.
