Acevedo i�'L`•' <br />F , Finance Direct <br />Date: June 4, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Portland Cement Concrete, <br />Aggregate Base, and Slurry Sand to Holliday <br />Rock Co. in the Amount of $66,916.75 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Colton periodically advertises for formal bids for the <br />supply of Portland Cement Concrete, Aggregate Base, and Slurry Sand <br />for use by the Streets Division. This years bid is for a one year <br />contract with an option to extend the contract for one year. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On May 14, 1992, General Services advertised for sealed bids for the <br />above requirements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 P.M., June 1, 1992 <br />in the General Services office. There was only one bid received on <br />this requirement. A Bid Analysis is attached showing the estimated <br />quantities and the unit prices which make up the $66,916.75 total <br />price of the contract for the first year. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for the above concrete, base and sand <br />contract to Holliday Rock Co. in the amount of $66,916.75. <br />Report prepared by: Kenneth Pete n, eneral Services Manager <br />City Manager Concurrence* <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of 1 Item No. 6 <br />
