CITY OF COLTON ?C6 .1 <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of MAY 5, 1992 <br />TO: MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: CITY ATTORNEY <br />Date: April 30, 1992 <br />RE: ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 9.14 TO THE COLTON MUNICIPAL <br />CODE <br />Attached is a proposed ordinance amending the Colton Municipal Code by <br />adding a Chapter which provides for regulation of and imposes viewing restrictions on <br />publicly displayed explicit adult materials, which are defined as harmful matter. The <br />proposed ordinance is authorized by California Penal Code Section 313.1(d), which provides <br />cities with authority to adopt ordinances which restrict the display of matter that is harmful <br />to minors by the use of blinder racks. If you wish to adopt this ordinance, it should be <br />introduced by motion on first reading by title only and further reading should be waived. <br />DOROTHY I.
