ACEVED <br />Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Lease Purchase of Four Vehicles for Community Development to Fuller Ford <br />for a Total Amount of $51,276.07 Financed at a Rate of 6.4% for Thirty -Six Months. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Community Development budgeted for and had approved, the lease/purchase of four, new, midsize <br />sedans for their department. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Notices for this requirement were posted on October 6, 1992. Bid packages were sent to 17 vendors <br />who were on our bidder's list. Bids were received at the General Services Office until 2:30 P.M., October <br />21, 1992, at which time the bids were opened and declared. Two of the seven bids received were non- <br />responsive because they did not submit lease/purchase information. A Bid Analysis is attached showing price <br />and delivery with the recommended vendor's price underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that bid award be made to Fuller Ford, Chula Vista, California, who met all the <br />requirements, had the lowest overall price and provided the lowest interest rate. <br />Report Prepared by Kenneth L.
