I M ger <br />SUBJECT: State Budget Mandated Local <br />Revenue Reductions <br />------------------------------------- <br />------------------------------------- <br />BACKGROUND• <br />Government Date: October 20, 1992 <br />SB617, signed by the Governor on September 2, 1992, mandated revenue <br />reduction to Cities, Counties and Special Districts. <br />DISCUSSION, <br />The impact to the City of Colton's general fund budget is a reduction of <br />$227,000.00 in property taxes which will be given to the schools. The <br />departmental budgets will be reduced by assigning a negative appropriation <br />to each department. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />See schedules of reduction shown on Attachment A, per department. <br />Furthermore, each department has provided the detail accounts listed on the <br />Budget Adjustment Request shown on Attachment B <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Accept the report as filed, reducing revenues and corresponding <br />departmental appropriations. <br />ML/bjw <br />Attachments: Attachment A - Department Budget Reductions <br />Attachment B - Budget Reduction Detail <br />Page 1 of Item No. <br />
