JOHNSON <br />Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT AND ADOPTION OF BUDGET <br />FOR THE SUIVIlVIER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Personnel Department has received official notification that the City of Colton has been awarded $119,715 <br />to operate a summer youth program through the County Office of Career Training and Development. Through <br />this program, the City will offer employment and training for approximately 100 economically disadvantaged <br />youngsters in Colton, Grand Terrace, and the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that Council adopt the proposed budget and budget adjustment for the operation of a summer <br />youth employment program. addition, it is recommended that Council authorize Gordon R.
