CLOUD <br />Acting Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for a One Year Contract for Miscellaneous Electrical Material to Graybar Electric <br />and WESCO Utility for the Period 7/1/94 through 6/30/95 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On May 26, 1994, General Services posted a Notice Inviting Bids for a one year contract on miscellaneous <br />electrical material requirements as generated by various City departments. <br />These contracts will be on an as required basis for the period 7/l/94 through 6/30/95, and as such, an exact <br />contract amount cannot be predetermined. It should be noted that both recommended vendors have local outlets <br />for these materials, and the majority of items purchased will be on a "will call" basis. <br />Bid opening was held at 4:00 p.m., June 6, 1994, in the General Services office. Three bids were received <br />and evaluated. A Bid Analysis is attached which reflects a percentage off Trade Service Book, end column <br />pricing, which is a standard pricing practice used in this industry. The analysis further reflects delivery and <br />discount terms. The recommended vendors for these contracts are underlined. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />These requirements are budgeted under normal operating expenses in each departments budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends award of bid for a one year contract for the miscellaneous electrical material to Graybar <br />Electric and WESCO Utility for the period 7/l/94 through 6/30/95. <br />Report prepared by: Mary J.
